Symptoms

When you use Report Commander to to print or export a report that uses a Lotus Notes data source, Report Commander fails with the following error message:

Failed to load database information

The problem occurs only if you run Report Commander on a computer where Crystal Reports is not installed.

Cause

The Lotus Notes database driver is not installed with the Crystal Reports runtime components used by Report Commander.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, you must copy the Lotus Notes drive DLL from a computer where Crystal Reports is installed to the computer where Report Commander is running.

To locate the driver file, search the computer for a file named "crdb_p2snote.dll". Copy this file to the following directory on the computer where Report Commander is installed: "c:\program files\common files\business objects\3.0\bin" (this directory may be on a different drive on your computer). Note: If this DLL is already present, do not replace it.
