Common problems with reports created by Crystal Reports versions earlier than 9.0

Summary

As stated in the Report Commander system requirements, Arcana Development does not support Report Commander when used with reports created by versions of Crystal Reports earlier than 9.0, but some reports from earlier versions may be usable with Report Commander.

For the convenience of our users, this article lists some specific items that cause old reports to be incompatible with Report Commander. Other changes in the Crystal Reports file format or functionality may also cause incompatibilities.

Please remember: Arcana Development does not provide any support for reports created using Crystal Reports versions earlier than 9.0.

Discontinued Features

The following features are no longer supported in current versions of Crystal Reports:

Maps. Map objects are not supported. Map objects will appear blank in the report.
OLAP Grids. OLAP grid objects are not supported. Reports designed with OLAP grids will not open.
Dictionaries, InfoViews and QRY files. Reports based off of Crystal Dictionaries, InfoViews, and QRY files are not supported and will not open.
