Symptoms

When you try to create a sample or template response file for Report Commander using the -!xmlparametertemplate or -!xmlparameterfile option, Report Commander fails with the following error:

Error: Command line processing failed: The '!' character, hexadecimal value 0x21, cannot be included in a name.

Cause

This problem occurs because Report Commander tries to generate an invalid XML element name for the response file.
