Summary

During installation, setup aborts with an error similar to the following:

Error 1327. Invalid Drive: H:

This problem may occur if your user profile or an environment variable references a network drive that is not currently connected or is no longer valid.

Workaround

Temporarily map the drive letter for which the error was issued to a valid path and rerun the installation. It does not matter what path you map the drive letter to.

If that does not resolve the problem, check the Registry keys described in Microsoft Knowledge Base articla Q327763. If any of these keys contain values that point to the invalid drive, change them to point to the correct drive.
